Restocking fee not disclosed at point of sale
We bought a computer monitor. We went home and opened it and put it on the desk and felt it was too big so we went to exchange for smaller monitor the next day and they charged us AED480 penalty. They did not disclose this upfront at sales stage or point of sale stage. It’s dishonest.
Couldn’t procure Dishwasher, agreed to Refund and now nothing
I purchased a Dishwasher through Thwifty online. After the delivery date had past and the online website still said procuring, I contacted support. They didn’t know when it would arrive. After another 2 weeks and multiple emails and requests for a refund and no reply. They wrote back that they had the item and will get it delivered in 1.5 weeks. I said No, I wanted a refund, they said they would get the refund processed. After that, I have not heard anything else from them.
Very bad costumer service
The car was returned. It's been 25 days. I paid a deposit of 1,000 dirhams and no one is informing me about this and I request that I be informed when the money will be returned. I send messages on WhatsApp. I send emails. No one responds to my messages or emails.
they scammed my deposit
so i took a car from them paid the deposit as well for a couple of motnhs, while i returned it, they made me wait in the hall and took the car to basement to perform the inspection. after an hour they mentioned nothing is wrong except a minor dot in the windshield which i never noticed. I said i drove it only in roads in minimal distances, also i cannot see any clear picture where i can clearly see the windshield, when the car was given to me. they didnt have any proof. i said to give me the same clarity pic where they found before and after which they didnt have. they said nothing wrong and i canleave after a month iasked them about my deposit, they didnt reply, after consecutive mails, they repsonded that they deducted it and i have to pay 2k more. I said i previosly in the mail asked for the explanation for me to take the police report which no one responded and fter multiplt attempts to contact them from my side they are suddenly saying this. As a company they are obligated to inform me about the things they gonna do with my money, not blindly do things, whle they falsely told me somthing else infront of me while i returned. moreover i tried to contac tthem multiple times, no body responded.. why to scam money this way
Rental Scam
Ahmed Talel Bel hajala, citizen of Tunisia, emirates ID : 784-1996- 9836778-9, real estate agent, Scamming many people in Dubai. This is his style : He made yearly tenancy contract with me ( landlord ) for monthly payment, after first month he stops to pay the rent, he start to creating stories that he is traveling or his bank doesn't works so he not pays. After months of communication and pleasing him to pay, he doesn't care and not pay. I needed to open rental case to evict him, but it takes so much time. You basically loose 6 month of rent and utilities and service charges and lawyer fees and court fees... Its really crazy situation for investors in Dubai. Such people should be immediately arrested, because they do really bad name for Dubai and after such situations investors will be afraid to invest in Dubai. Please be careful with such agents and esspesialy this one. Thank you
tenancy scam
I had one flat in business bay ,i furnished it only to fall prey to scrupulous agent who offered me 120k for flat as against market price of 100-105k. gave first part as cash ,made tenancy contract and gave rest as cheques .unsuspecting I signed the contract after that ejari came and security cheques and next cheques bounced .Tenant and agent told me for few days they will transfer money no need to worry .After that they stopped responding .when I went to flat that door lock was found to be changed and security told me some egypt person living where as I tenanted through and Indian to a Bangladesh guy .I sent a notice for eviction but I am sure they know all this and they also know their next steps .Happiness of having an apartment in Dubai has gone overnight .Be careful
Payment not credited in wallet
I have made some transactions through careem pay. To make payment i have added funds of AED 45000 in careem wallet. The money got debited in my bank account, however they have not credited the wallet. Inspite of multiple follow up , they give one single answer that they are working on it. Careem Support #101801919 which is open since 10 days without any appropriate update.
Product Quality Issue and Poor Customer Service
I purchased a high brand eyeglasses (Burberry) and got damaged after a month, it was loosen up and adjusted. Then, a month later; it was suddenly fell off while I am using it. Luckily, I catched it. Then, I returned the item for a repair and they rejected the claim and asking me to pay for the repair or they will give me a new eyeglasses and asking me to pay again.
Online order Scam
Hello I did an order from Inshape company for body suites 11 days a go through Instagram They askef me to make transfer and i will get my order within 2 days , i transferred 250aed to their account. And the didn't reply to me after that, so i called this number from their page 0555499043 he said they sent ..after nothing .. i raised a complaint in E Police and i told this company yo refund me bcs there's no order , so they cut the call
Refusing to take back the item
I have ordered a tv screen for my car on july 1 via amazon by paying 2473.92aed along with 10aed shipping charges. Once I recieved it I’ve tried to get it fixed but the audio was not working as it was a defective one. When I contacted the amazon they are asking me to bear the return expense 600aed which is 60 times of what I’ve paid initially. When I contacted the amazon again they said they’ll only refund the shipping amount as amazon gift card which wont be usefull for me. My money is stuck and there is no resolution. Please kindly help me with this situation
Washing machine not return back
I call Al Haseeb appliances repair and one of their employee name Hanzala came and collect the washing machine and promised to return back after repairing,now more than 10 days they didn't give back machine and not even attending my call Thanks yahyakamboh@yahoo.com 0586776046
Complaints against Northway management consultancy
I have been offered Canadian work permit by this consultancy(Northway management consultancy previous location 1105 aspect tower,business bay, current location office 309 sapphire Tower deira dubai) on last 27 November 2022. For which I have been asked to pay AED 6300/- which deposited on the same time. Since then, we tried a lot to approach them but we are not getting any response from them, They are not even picking the calls(0555102320). We tried all possible way to contact them but we didn't succeed. So, kindly look in to this matter and do the needful in this regard. Thanks
unjustified Cancellation charges applied
I had paid AED 15,295 booked for tour package to Greece, As per package they mentioned there will be VIP Visa service, unfortunately there was no proper support or guidance for applying Visa, i asked to book one month before travel date, they without informing me that this visa process will take more than a month which came to from the tour company call attend based on my call to them, they never intend to call to explain any thing about the visa process, considering this situation i decided to cancel the trip and for cancellation they asked me to send email and i send cancellation email 29days before the travel date. after cancellation i came to know they like (•Cancellation email : 18th July 2024 •Reason: Visa rejection •Voucher package 2,599 AED X 5 PAX = AED 12,995 less cxl fee 50% ( AED 6,497.50 ) •Remaining credit valid for 2 yrs. AED 6,497.50 ) This is completely unjustified and unethical, this is kind of cheating. So i request to intervene to stop this kind of un ethical business and i will get justification in this matter.
Keep calling during weekend
Hi - I am keep receiving calls from Damac properties during Saturday and Sunday even in the evening . I have already blocked 3 numbers and now another number is calling .. as I know that there is already regulations against the cold calls but still this company are not behaving and respecting the consumers . I hope you can help please
Refunding my Cash
Im applying to their agencies and they agreed to provide work for me and. The HR who conducted interview with me he ask money for my unifor he got 1500 and 200 dirham so total of 1700 dirham he said that after 3 days he will provide work for me. And we have letter agreement 12 days if the applicant does not receive any company location for an interview the paid amount is 100% refundable. And now i already finished my 12 days and i didn't received jobs from them and what i did is i canceled my application with them. And until now they dont yet return my money.
Menu is showing but charging different then menu prices
I have cane here from 34km just to see their menu and when I reached here they were asking extra money for the sides which was showing in the picture and menu as a price of 00 Aed. And they are charging the prices which are not mentioned in the menu
Terminated My account
Dear All, Good Day. I was invested USD 600 to Finotive Martkes LLC. Started Trading and were giving 55% share from my weekly profits. Suddenly they terminated my account stating that i break the rule. They do not have any evidence what rule i broke. They took my profit of USD 400 + USD 600 my investmet. 3 years Late handover and badly built apartments
Beware of dealing with texture properties. They handover the property late (3 years to be exact) took them to court. And it’s been 5 years and we apparently won the case. But the court still haven’t given our loss in property valuation. They apparently freezes accounts and business. Yeah right, if anything the government works with these shonky businesses. They are untouchable.
Scammed
I got a platform on telegram that they will give me the job. And asked for the registration fee of 400 AED. I also agreed to her and transferred her the money. Now they are not giving me the job neither refunding my money. I've her contact number and statement of transferred amount to her account..
Misleading advertisement.
Tips and toes is a beauty spa. They are promoting an ad with summer heat discount for a waxing service. The ad is to get a discount equal to Dubai temperature. No where does the ad say T&C APPLY. After I availed the service, they told me the discount only applies between 10 and 4pm.
Tshsirt damage
I bought Tshirt online from Caroline Herrera And I paid Arround 1000 dhs I asked the store in Mirdif cc upon Receiving the items and sales person Confirm how to wash it She confirmed hand wash . After the fist wash by hand R shirt got damage . I send a complain to refund my money And I’m still waiting for reply No answer from them .
Safety issues
I booked a package for 18 session including electrostimulation, pressotherapy and heat sauna. In the last session, we did electrostimulation. After the technician attached the electrodes to my muscles, she didn't check the machine settings. All the stimulators were on and set to high power, and I received two intense shocks before I could remove the electrodes. I experienced muscle vibrations for the next two days. I told the manager that I don't feel comfortable to get any treatment from them because I have issues in trusting again the tecnitian. After a while they came back to me stating that they cannot refund the service and asking me to go back and give another try. I ask them to replace the electrostimulation service with something else and to share the customer service number but I got no answer. I need help in getting the refund, the company is not trustworthy. I am currently during phisiotherapy and everytime my phisic Ian put the electrode on my knees I am in panic because of what happened at the vcll center. I have been more than understanding but they showed careless for my health and for them procedures. This happened in the store in marina.
Faulty TV
I bought a Samsung TV back in February this year. After three months we came back from our family outing to find the tv not functioning. After several complaints to Samsung they sent their teams and insisted that the TV screen is broken instead. We tried to explain to them that the house was empty when we came back found it faulty to no avail. Went back to Sharaf DG to complain about the same, at first they gave me hope that I am able to replace it through their service since it wasn’t past the warranty date. After checking, the manager went back to me with a complete refusal on the case again. The cost of fixing the screen is as high as buying a new set… this is a completely unfair treatment from both Samsung and Sharaf Dg who recommended I buy a new set instead….
