I rented a car in this company for 5 months. One month before handing over the car i had a minor accident where one car hit me. At that moment i was shocked from the accident because it was my first time that someone hits me and i didn’t took the plate number of the other car because i didn’t knew about it. I told the company about this accident and the first thing they told me is “you have to pay” not even mentioning the insurance , then i asked them “what about the insurance?” She said ohh sorry for misunderstanding there is full insurance but you need to get the report from the police, i asked her “ Do i need to pay anything else if i get the report?” And she said no the insurance will cover.I went to the police , i explained them everything and they told me this is a unknown accident since you don’t have the plate number and you have to pay 420 AED for the report . I send them the report and i asked them again “Is there anything else to pay?” She said no. After that after 2 days she is sending me a message “ unfortunately you have to pay 263AED because the garage told us that there is a fee.” I was so furious because they said no when i asked them but anyway i didn’t want any problems so i agreed to pay that as well and she said she will split it in half for me to pay it in 2 months. After few days she sends me a message telling me that the fee is 1000 now and they didn’t know that before so i have to pay 1000. Because of them i paid for the report , i paid half of that fee in beginning and now they are threatening me that they will go to the police if i don’t pay and they are not giving me the deposit that i paid in beginning. And i don’t understand where is my fault. They didn’t have any information and instead of saying sorry for that and take the blame, they are throwing everything at me and making me pay more money and keeping my deposit. And on top of that when i checked the driving licence of the car it was expired. I really hope you can help me with this issue. Thank you ☺️
